Katie has been chatting with Ana from Amuzing Fun Rentals, which is a new business in Penticton. One of the new activities Amuzing Fun has is a FOAM cannon!!! They had brainstormed about a back-to-school event, but it wasn't quite hitting the mark.
They took the beginning of August to reset, and started to reach out to others to see if there were any other parties interested. In the midst of this time, the horrific fire season that Canada has been experiencing this year caught up closer to home. The wildfires were in multiple communities in our region. It was then that everyone came together with the idea of holding a fundraiser to support the Wildfire Relief that was going to be needed, and the Foam Party would be the finale!
The End of Summer Bash & Foam Party will be set up throughout Gyro Park on Sunday, September 3rd from 11 am until 2 pm, and feature many carnival style games & activities. Families can purchase tickets to play the various activities, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to fire relief. Each activity will cost one ticket, and the suggested donation will be $20 for an arms length of tickets. The finale will be an epic foam party, and that will be a free element for all to enjoy.
We are still in need of volunteers and businesses to support this event! We also would love to have refreshments donated that would also be sold by donation, again with all proceeds going to fire relief. Items would be individual bags of chips, bottles of water, pop, or pastries that are individually wrapped.
