Projects
Developing and launching fundraising projects is how the Kiwanis Club of Penticton generates money to pay for donations to youth clubs, bursaries for students, and to support ongoing projects such as Books for Babies & Kiwanis Kid Readers.
Books for Babies
Every child that receives their first vaccinations also gets a book bag with a selection of books to entertain, create shared experiences, and encourage literacy.
Kiwanis Kid Readers
Grade 2 students at SD 67 Elementary Schools will receive a book at the school book sale as part of the Kiwanis Kid Readers.
Penticton Safety Village
The Kiwanis Club of Penticton is the a sponsor of the Penticton Safety Village, and our members sit on the Society's board. Beyond that ongoing support, we also run signature events at the Village, including the Trick or Treat Cycle-Path and Easter Hop-Along, which draw hundreds of local kids and families each year.
Quiz Night
Quiz Night is an annual event held in spring that is fun for all ages. The proceeds from this event are donated to an organization chosen in that year.
Post Secondary Bursaries
Every school year, the Kiwanis Club of Penticton awards students with a bursary to help fund their post-secondary education.
